In my dreams
I saw a light,
In my dreams a I saw a light, is a short film exploring the notion of vulnerability and self-discovery through a performative approach based on my own experience going through the struggle of accepting myself as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. I drew my inspiration from my memories of the past and how I learned to build my self-confidence. The work presents the point of view of someone marginalised by their sexual orientation.
The fundamental goal of my work is to express that human are vulnerable, and that we must fight against the fear of the judgment of others, and even more against the violence and discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community. It is important for me to share my story and hopefully help teenagers, who suffer from violence and discrimination just because of who they are, feel that they are not alone and must keep fighting.
